London: Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans, 1847. Small 4to, 6½x4¾" (205 x 163 mm). 210 pp. With extra illustrated title page and numerous engravings Illustrated by George Scharf throughout, plus color fore-edge painting. Ink ownership marks dated 1877.

Signed binding by Hodges, Foster & Figgis Dublin in contemporary full dark brown leather, boards decoratively paneled in gilt, spine lettered in gilt in compartments, 4 raised bands, all paper edges gilt, gilt dentelles. No fading to spine. All paper edges gilt. Joints and corners somewhat worn, some rubbing, Pages clean and no foxing.
