Albany: Printed by Charles R. and George Webster, 1802. Hardcover. Fair. Octavo. Volume 2 only. [4], 544 pages, [9] pages Subscriber names, [1] page advertisement. Engraved title page. Later binding. Plain boards with tan cloth spine. Paper title label on the spine. Cloth is chipped head and base of the spine. Moderate toning to the text. Both hinges broken but text block still secure.
Ink inscription top of the title page - "James Tallmadge Jun 1802." J. Tallmadge name stamped on front advertisement page. Tallmadge practiced law in New York in the early 1800's. He served in the War of 1812. Later became an United States Lawyer and defended Andrew Jackson's actions during the Seminole Indian War. Tallmadge also served in the United States House of Representatives.
