About This Item
New York: Dodd Mead and Company - Apollo Editions. Trade Paperback. Very Good. 5" x 7 3/4. 339 pages. Book No. A-8 with 1.95 cover price. Tight bright square book with white pages. Owner's ink pad name stamp inside front and back covers. Light barely noticeable vertical crease on front cover. No other marks, stamps, underlining or names. The author was a professor of economy at McGill University who was widely known for his professional writing. However he achieved far greater fame by his humorous books and lectures. Here in one volume is the quintessence of the great Canadian humorist's writing, the cream of his inimitable jesting, with an occasional sober note, such as his famous discussion of an Oxford education. Here is the merriest collection of Leacock's blended satire and nonsense, revealing the droll genious of the Canadian humorist and famous college professor at its best.
