D. Appleton and Company, 1892. Leather. Very Good - Cash. Signed by Charles R. Mabey former Governor of Utah. Beautufl brown leather spine and corners. Vibrant gold gilt lettering and embellishments on spine. Top edge of spine is gold gilded. Marbled paper to front and back cover. Rough cut edges. Light rubbing to surfaces of cover. heavier rubbing to edges and corners. Corners bumped. Small surface tears to front cover. Sun bleached spine. Yellowing to page edges. Protective tissue paper oppiste title page. Ink from picture of Thomas Carlyle has bleed onto title page. Body of text appears crisp clean and unmarked. Tight binding. Still in great condition for age. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
