New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1952. First edition thus. 8vo. 303 pp. Brown cloth with black top stain. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. Small spot of sunning to cloth at head of spine, top stain slightly faded towards head of spine. Jacket mildly worn at extremities, small spot to front panel, mild fading to spine and toning to extremities of flaps, 1/4" tear to head of spine, 1/4" tear to base of spine, price clipped.. Hardcover. Very Good.
Synopsis
Elizabeth Bowen was born in Dublin in 1899. She wrote many acclaimed novels, including The Heat if the Day and Eva Trout . She was awarded the CBE (Commander if the Order of the British Empire) in 1948. She died in 1973.
