The ninth issue of one of the more notable newspapers associated with the GI Underground Press movement, as produced by US Armed Forces members at Fort Gordon, Georgia. This issue with several drug-related articles and sidebars, including an account of a US soldier in Vietnam who fought off the Viet Cong while high on marijuana, a piece suggesting that the US government may be complicit in promoting heroin as a way to suppress Black activism, and an opinion piece linking disillusionment to youth drug use.Augusta, GA: Last Harass, 1971. Unbound newsprint tabloid. [8] pp., illus. Horizontal fold crease; moderate toning; wear and some light cracking/chipping along folds. Good to very good. An uncommon publication in the trade; we find no issues currently on the market.
