About This Item

Collins, 1959. First edition, first printing. 8vo. Blue boards with gilt titles. Pictorial dustwrapper. A near fine copy with clean boards. No marks to edges. Light offsetting &n toning to endpapers. No inscriptions - appears unread. The near fine/fine dustwrapper has the lightest wear with a couple of tiny closed tears and rubbing to bottom left foot of spine. A few tiny spots to rear panel. Unusually, absolutely none of the usual toning to white spine lettering. Original price of 15snet on front flap. A very attractive copy indeed. Maclean's fourth novel takes the action to behind the Iron Curtain to rescue a defected scientist - a classic Cold War thriller.
