About This Item

Thrupp, Gloucestershire: Sutton Publishing, 1999. Hardcover. viii, 206p., profuse b&w illustration from period vignettes, plus a couple of ancient maps shown vignette-size and a modern line-drawn map. Hardbound first edition in 10x7 inch black boards gilt and dust jacket. Nice clean copy, book and jacket both in as-new shape. The description of Leguizamon (as 'last conquistador') was his own, about which he felt guilty, upon realizing he had helped destroy an ethical culture.
