New York: Time, 1972. Hardcover. First edition, without the publisher's logo to the spine. Very Good+ clothbound hardcover with fading to the spine and flaking to the spine title text in a Very Good+ slipcase with a tipped-in image to the front, with touches of soiling to the back panel; the interior is clean and bright; no dj as issued but the slipcase has a custom-made acetate cover. Published posthumously, this volume provides an excellent survey of Larry Burrows' powerful photojournalistic work for Life magazine from the late-1940s to 1971, when he disappeared in Laos. The book concentrates primarily on the Vietnam War, presenting some of the best photographic work made during that conflict. There were two editions. One without the publisher's logo to the spine or title page, published for Time employees, colleagues, friends, and family. The other is the Time/Life edition, with that logo to the spine and "Time/Life Books" to the title page. The Time/Life edition was available to the public. Our copy is not the Time/Life Books edition. Photographs by Larry Burrows; introduction by Ralph Graves; reminiscences by Life editors sprinkled throughout. 160 pages; profusely illustrated with b&w and color plates; 10 x 12.5 inches. Books also may be returned within 7 days of receipt with advance notice. The book(s) must be returned in the same condition as shipped by the seller.
