Publishers' forest green cloth with black titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket also by Krenkel. Contents clean and crisp with no annotation or inscriptions. A hint of rubbing to spine tips & corners. Barely visible nicks & creases to dust-jacket, especially lower panel. head of spine. Very slightly surface soiled. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. Fantasy adventure set in Pellucidar at the centre of the Earth during the Stone Age, and the modern-day subterranean prospector who accidentally ends up there. Sixth title in the Pellucidar series of novels.
Synopsis
Land of Terror is a 1944 science fiction novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the sixth in his series about the fictional "hollow earth" land of Pellucidar. It is the penultimate novel in the series and the last to be published during Burrough's lifetime. Unlike most of the other books in the Pellucidar series, this novel was never serially published in any magazine because it was rejected by all of Burroughs's usual publishers.
