About This Item
London: Reader's Digest, 1998. First hardback edition thus. VG. No DW but pictorial boards. Title page has typed label with previous owner's name and address. 176 pages including index. 8.5" by 11". Published in the Reader's Digest series 'Exploring the British Isles', this edition contains as its central core a condensed version of 'Fred Trueman's Yorkshire' which loses little of the earthy wit of the cricketing legend. There is also an 18 page introduction 'Exploring Yorkshire with John Kahn'. Lavishly illustrated throughout with colour plates, the book ends with a 36 page section 'Highlights: the best that Yorkshire has to offer.' A beautifully produced book. .
