Not price clipped. The black cloth boards with gilt imprint have bumped corners and sunning on edges. Binding tight. Red top edge, illustrated endpapers. Interior clean except for one inscription. Crampton, a river rat, University of Utah professor, and author of Standing Up Country, provides a "regional biography" of Grand Canyon, with 17 color geologic maps, 16 color photos, and more than 100 black and white photos. This was an association copy given to Georgie Clark, the first female commericial river guide in Grand Canyon, by two people who went on one of her trips. It is warmly inscribed by them on the half title page. ; Book; 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall; 267 pp .
