Illustrated with a frontispiece and 39 plates, five maps (of which three are folding), pp xii, 283, (i), some age-toning and marking throughout, upper corner bumped and bruised throughout, blue-green cloth bumped at the corners, a little marked, the upper cover with a faint crease (which also shows on the front endpaper) and a very faint impression which suggests it might have had a label at one time (possibly a circulating library ? - but there are no other marks), the spine faded, a bit frayed at the head and tail. VERY SCARCE.. First Edition. Cloth. Good.
