Heinemann,, 1905. 8vo., First Edition, with frontispiece in photogravure (original tissue guard present); Madonna blue boards, upper board blocked and lettered in gilt, vellum back lettered in gilt, uncut, backstrip mildly age-soiled, corners bruised else a very good, bright, clean copy. With the fine sepia armorial bookplate of Jacqueline Myddleton on front paste-down. 1250 COPIES WERE PRINTED. Bright, clean copy of Stott's variant (i) casing. Writtten from notes made by Maugham while living in Seville for eight months in 1898. VERY SCARCE. Stott A8(i).
