Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting Two tiny spots on front free endpaper Edges have some very faint marks Card covers bumped and a soft crease on bottom corner of front cover An insight into social life in Sandakan, as it was capital of the North Borneo British Chartered Company. Sabah was covered under jungle then, and her husband was Forest Curator - the last 'white' forest curator. Her daily life, and her expeditions with her husband into the virgin forest are a unique picture, and drawn with a sharp pencil, and always full of humour. The book was first published in 1939. B & W illustrations
