A single woman, Iris Carr, on a continental train journey is befriended by an English governess, Miss Froy who disappears whilst Iris is asleep. From then on despite her extensive efforts to find the governess, everyone else on the train denies that she was ever there! An excellent plot, enhanced by Hitchcock in the film makes this one of the best-known mystery tales of the early 20th century.* This is a NEAR GOOD copy of the 1st./1st. thus with some shelf wear & ageing reducing it to ACC*
