Eliza Davies, a member of the Sturt desert expedition, was a unique adventurous woman whose life and career are recorded in this prize-winning biography. The author has gathered most of the material from Eliza Davies's autobiography: 'The Story of an Earnest Life’. This book was winner of the Isabella Brierley Literary Award, 1994.
