An early reprint, dated 1914 from the dates of the books in the adverts.Bram Stoker's epistolary novel set in a castle in the Land of the Blue Mountains. Residing in the castle is a young man, Rupert Saint Leger, who is visited by a mysterious pale woman in the nights, whom he declares his love for, despite thinking she may be a vampire.This novel was published over a decade after Stoker's best known sinister novel 'Dracula'.Four pages of adverts to the front. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some light marks to the boards and spine. A few light marks to the boards. Hinges are starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
