First edition, second impression. 240pp. Red cloth-covered boards, silver titles on black printed spine label. 12mo. Boards lightly soiled; shelf number stickers on spine held on with tape, moderately rubbed and rounded extremities. A little cocked. Text block edges tanning, bottom edge very lightly soiled. Lending library markings on front endpapers, half-title and title pages. Pages very lightly tanned. Otherwise, internally neat, clean and tight. Fiction.
Synopsis
Anthony Powell was born in 1905. He served in the army during World War II. He is the author of seven other novels, and four volumes of memoirs, To Keep the Ball Rolling .
