New York: Clark & Austin, 1847. Hardcover. Good +. 155, [1] p.; 15 cm. Publisher's brown cloth with gilt-stamped spine title; blind-stamped decoration on both boards and spine. Former owner's name on front free endpaper: Josephine Kimball. First published in 1810, The Lady of the Lake was set in Scotland and told the story of various conflicts involving Ellen Douglas, highland clans, and King James V of Scotland. In Good+ Condition: edges are rubbed; minor loss at ends of spine; cover lightly soiled; light foxing and browning throughout; otherwise, clean and tight.
