(2d) Slightly smaller book, fine dark red cloth, very bright gilt lettering on front, gilt lettering and design very bright on spine, illustration of stone wall inside covers and adjacent end papers, 224 lightly browned stiff pages, illustrations throughout. DJ front and spine glossy black background, illustration of Lady Jane Grey on front in red circle, related books advertised on back. DJ has wear and tear to edges and tips, crease across bottom front, white back very slightly soiled, tiny blue line at bottom back. Poor DJ/Very Fine book.
