Jonathan Cape, 1923. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1923. First Edition. 223 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white plates. Pages are visibly tanned with notable foxing throughout. Heavier foxing to text-block edges, pastedowns and endpapers. Small sticker to front pastedown. Cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Pages 50-51 with some tanning from bookmark that was left between pages. Pen mark to text-block top edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surface. Notable staining, marking and scratching. Moderate sunning to spine with noticeable crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is slightly darkened. Book has forward lean.
