About This Item
Germany: Deutsche Grammophon, 1974. LP Record in Jacket. Very Good Minus/Very Good. 12.25" x 12.25. DG 2530 443. Here are four masterful works from Stockhausen's early years. REPERTOIRE: Kreuzspiel (1951; Stockhausen aged 23) is scored for oboe, bass clarinet, piano, and 3 percussionists, Kontra-Punkte (1952/53) for 10 instruments, Zeitmasze (1955/56) for 5 woodwinds, Adieu (1966) for wind quintet. CONDITION: This beautifully-recorded LP can only be graded as Very Good Minus, since - after two professional cleanings - it still has general moderate surface noise throughout, with significant popping/crackling - but without any skips or snags. Its jacket is bright, solid, unmarked and uncreased, with some edge- and corner-wear. The LP is now in a new audiophile inner sleeve (replacing the plain original) and the entire album is nestled in a strong mylar outer sleeve. It will be cleaned again before being securely packed and promptly shipped, domestically (USA) and internationally.
