Color illustrated endpapers. Description: The illustrations by Wesley Dennis include the panoramic dust jacket scene, endpaper art, four full page color paintings, and many black and white drawings. This novel is based on the real life story of one of the Thoroughbred's three foundation stallions -- the Godolphin Arabian, and was the 1949 Newbery Medal winner, and the basis for a 1990 film with Richard Harris and Glenda Jackson, and Navin Chowdhry as Agba. Originally published in 1948.
