The edges of the pages have started to yellow, and there is minor rubbing of the edges of the dust jacket. The author has written an original and perceptive account of the events which gave rise to the War of Independence. It is the story of George III, the last king of America. It is a story of how his gullibility and obstinacy combined with the opportunism of others, engendered a series of confrontations that bore disastrous results for Britain's sphere of influence. .
