About This Item
Grosset & Dunlap, 1932. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. First Edition. 8VO. A very respectable copy of an uncommon and sought after book. Rather wonderful King Kong cover art with with three different views on front, spine and rear. Conceived by Edgar Wallace and Merian C Cooper and based on the screen play by James Creelman and Ruth Rose, this is the book based on the classic movie. Stills from the movie on the endpapers. Bound in green cloth with brown titling. Other than a large piece of the back panel of the jacket missing, the dust jacket is in surprisingly fresh and complete condition. Most significantly, this copy is completely unrestored. Most other copies on the market are restored, which turns off most collectors today. Comes in a custom-made collector's slipcase.
