About This Item
Kilgorman: A Story of Ireland in 1798 by Talbot Baines Reed.
Hardback, 1895, first edition, published by T. Nelson and Sons, 420 pages, vintage children's book.
Pictorial cloth boards and spine. Gilt lettering and picture detail to front board and spine, somewhat faded, more so on spine. Boards are quite scuffed, a bit faded and marked but have retained much of their colours. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Corners bumped and a little torn. Binding reasonably firm though front and rear inner hinges are cracked. Gilt upper page edge, scuffed but still quite visible. Page edges browned and a bit marked. Seller stamp to FFEP with corner torn which is still attached but only just. Written school prize-giving inscription to next page. A little foxing to endpapers. The odd mark here and there but otherwise page surfaces are quite clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
