An organized gang of criminals kidnap millionaires. Its leader is called the Purple One. When the millinaires get returned they were “pallid and shaken, they would not utter a word. Men who had flaunted, they quailed at the memory of the power of the Purple One.” A secret group of twelve organizes to combat him.
