About This Item
New York, NY: Abrams, 2008. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. A Fine, Collectible book, SIGNED by NEAL GAIMEN, who wrote the Introduction to the book. Mark Evanier met Jack Kirby in 1969, worked as his assistant, and later became his official biographer; Jack Kirby created or co-created some of comic books' most popular super heroes, including Captain America, The X-Men, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, The Mighty Thor, Darkseid, and The New Gods. More significantly, he created much of the visual language for fantasy and adventure comics. Large quarto in dust jacket, 224 pp., color illustrations throughout. ".the best part of "Kirby: King of Comics" is the beautiful color art found throughout. There are almost as many pages of art as there are pages of text, which makes the book a treasure."?The Cleveland Plain Dealer
