The author's second book about hunting rifles, preceded by Big Game Rifles and Cartridges (1936). Keith (1899-1984) discusses rifles and calibers for various hunting scenarios, including hunting in timber, long range stalking, and hunting dangerous game, as well as how to care for the rifle once the hunt is complete. Inscribed and dated by Keith on a prefatory blank leaf. Octavo. Original black cloth binding, with silver and green stamping. A bit of foxing to the top edge, with some general minor edgewear to the dust jacket; otherwise very good. Riling 2551.
