New York: Simon & Schuster, 1946. First Edition. Signed presentation copy from S.J. Perelman to noted composer and songwriter Vernon Duke at the time of their collaboration on a Broadway musical. Inscribed: “To Vernon - A la recherche du temps perdu and in anticipation of things to come, and also in memory of many rugged campaigns and bivouacs. Ever, Sid Perelman, November 5, 1946”. Some very minor and light waviness to the bottom edge, else very good in a very internally repaired dust jacket a few small chips. Duke and Perelman collaborated on the famous failed 1946 musical, Sweet Bye and Bye. The show, with music and lyrics by Vernon Duke ("April in Paris," "Autumn in New York") and Ogden Nash and book by S.J. Perelman and Al Hirschfeld.
