Wear at the extremities an a few very small stains or spots to the covers. Short inscription on the front free endpaper: "Christmas 1948." 123 pages, illustrated, including frontispiece portrait, Kate Luther, 1529 after Cranach, in Milan. Originally written and printed for the English language market in The Walther League Messenger, as no English edition existed on Luther's wife, this is the first publication in book format..
