About This Item
New York: Boni and Liveright, 1918. First edition. Hardcover. 163pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Ivory white cloth spine with blue paper covered boards, and black ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Very good. There is a small abraded patch in the paper of the rear board. The cloth on the spine is a bit age-toned, and the top edge of the text block is very slightly soiled. The underlying boards are just barely peeking through at the bottom corners of the covers. Lafcadio Hearn is most famous for his books about Japan, particularly his collections of Japanese legends and ghost stories.
