An original drawing on a postcard of an African American woman in profile dated February 22, 1952 and mailed to Carl Van Vechten. Written in Priebe's hand in a circular pattern around the drawing: "Dear Carlo, Ethel was of course wonderful and of course so are you. Again thanks for the fine books LL Karlo. Such strange and lovely photographs of birds flying in the English Book on flight. Frank may come home tomorrow for 2 days! L.K." Fine condition, minimal browning along edges.
