First published in 1962 by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. This is the first edition, first printing of the 1993 reprint of the work by the University Press of Kansas. Contents consist of a list of illustrations, preface to the reprint edition, preface to original edition, list of Railroad companies, an introduction, ten chapters, notes, a bibliography and an index. 260 pages. Interior of book is clean, fresh, tight and bright. The spine of the book is not creased, however, the spine is faded, probably from sitting on a bookshelf where it got a daily dose of sunlight. If not for this fading on the spine the book would grade as new. A quite nice copy; available for immediate shipment; carefully packed!
