New York: Pollard & Moss, 1881. Worn copy, two volumes in one. Collected works of this noted American author, the Kaaterskill edition, illustrated with numerous engravings tinted in orange-sepia tones. Brown cloth lettered and heavily decorated in gilt and black, all edges gilt, 431 + 424 pages. Covers heavily worn and spotted, fabric torn along joints, hinges split but covers secure, front free endpaper and preliminary blank detached and tattered at the edges, text block otherwise sound, pages lightly age-toned but clean, no names or other markings. Reading copy with quite attractive illustrations.. Hard Cover. Fair. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
