New York, NY: MacMillan Company. Very Good. 1933. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good to Near Very Good+ condition and is lacking the dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There are a couple of spots of discoloration and some toning to the edges of the book covers, along with some light fading to the spine. The text pages are mostly clean and bright, with a few fingermarks to occasional pages. There is a previous owner's bookplate adhered to the reverse of the front endpaper. "Rachel Lyman Field (September 19, 1894 – March 15, 1942) was an American novelist, poet, and children's fiction writer. She is best known for her work Hitty, Her First Hundred Years. Field also won a National Book Award, Newbery Honor award and two of her books are on the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award list. " (from Wikipedia) .
