Original blue cloth stamped in gilt. Very good. 297 pages including index + 7 pages advertisements. Bookplate of noted autograph and book collector Estelle Doheny on the front free endpaper. Carrie Estelle Doheny (1875-1958), wealthy wife of Edward L. Doheny oil magnate (was charged with conspiracy, bribery in Teapot Dome Scandal, 1924). Began collecting rare books and letters in 1931. Created Papal Countess, 1939; built several remarkable rare book/autograph collections. High Spots 15.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
