London, England: Paternoster Press, 1958. First Edition Later Printing 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good+/VG-. Wade, Graham. Book #13 in a series of 20 books published 1940s-1970s about the famous "jungle doctor" written by Paul White (1910-1992), based largely on his own experiences 1939-1941 in Central Tanganyika as a missionary. He also turned the series into a popular radio show, with all episodes set in Africa, often with a moral. Orig. published in 1955, this is the Second Printing of that First Edition from 1958, in 121 pages with decorative map endpapers + 20 illustrations throughout the text by Graham Wade. Small hardcover 12mo (5" x 7.5") had jungle green cloth-covered boards stamped with the Jungle Doctor logo to front/lettering to spine. Condition is VG+: exceptionally clean but heavily foxed to all outside page edges & endpapers. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages creamy white & completely unmarked, corners crisp. The unclipped DJ is VG-, with moderate-heavy rubbing to extremities & many small chips to corners & both ends of spine; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
