8 pp. of color photographs and black and white photos throughout. Fresh, clean copy with a DJ having some wear at top front corner and barely noticeable wear at top and bottom of spine. Ivo, whose husband was John Sparkman Alabama's longest serving Senator from 1946-1979. He was the Democratic Party's nominee for Vice President as Adlai Stevenson's running mate in the 1952 U.S. presidential election. During his tenure as Chairman of the prestigious Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Sparkmans together traveled in official capacities of promoting America, official functions and educational evaluations of people, places and eras. Ivo, who was an author in her own right, was married to John for 62 years and lived to be over 100 years old.
