Glasgow: Hugh Hopkins , 1907. NO. 14 OF 50 COPIES, 2 vols., 8vo, pp. xxxii, 356; viii, [ii], 373, [3] + frontispiece to each volume and 5 further plates. Untrimmed in original brown cloth, spines lettered direct in gilt. Bindings just a touch marked, endpapers toned. Numbered in ink to limitation-pages. 450 copies of this attractive reprint of a Frenchman’s account of his travels through Britain were printed, with this being number 14 of the 50 deluxe examples printed on van Gelder paper, with the plates on Japanese vellum.

Established in 1957, McNaughtan's Bookshop is the oldest surviving secondhand and antiquarian bookshop in Scotland.
