NY: Knopf, 1949. (1st American edition). Hardbound. GOOD- / Fair dj. Tight, bright, clean and square. Blue cloth with gilt, but gilt on spine is mostly worn away. Gift inscription on first free page. Faint age soil to exterior page edges. Unclipped dust jacket is present but age soiled, tattered along edged and folds and tape repaired on inside.
