Dark blue Morocco paste-down spine labels with gilt lettering and decorative flourish. Tight binding and solid boards. Pristine boards and binding. Clean, unmarked pages with minimal foxing. Several folding illustration plates containing maps and charts.<br><br>William Scoresby was an English Arctic explorer, scientist and clergyman. He began the study of meteorology and natural history during his voyage of 1807. He received a degree from Cambridge, and published this and other works relating to the polar regions.<br><br>A bright, clean copy of this unique volume in very good condition.
