Portland: Champoeg Press. Fine. 1954. Limited Edition. Hardcover. 500 copies designed and printed by Lawton Kenndy. Inscribe by Kennedy on second endpaper, "To my friend Charlie Camp -, Lawton Kennedy." Beige cloth, spine lettered in gilt. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 84 pages; Charles L. Camp, was a noted palaeontologist and zoologist, working from the University of California, Berkeley. Camp was also an important bibliographer and historian of Western America, remembered for many works, especially his biography of American pioneer James Clyman, which Bernard De Voto called "one of the half-dozen classics in the field," and the third edition of Henry R. Wagner's, The Plains and the Rockies, published in 1953, which Camp annotated heavily. .
