Illustrated with frontispiece and five plates. Collated complete. An entertaining travel journey of a Frenchman's travels across Britain, with commentary on the country, its arts, literature, politics, history, and the customs and manners of its residents. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. A small crack to the front and rear joints at the head of the spine. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages and the odd pencil mark. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Good
