London. John Murray 1832. First Edition, 8vo. three volumes. two maps (one folding), two engraved frontis portraits, 5 plates and several illustrations in the text. Original publisher's printed cloth bindings, and is part of the publisher's "Family Library" series.This is a very attractive set of Richard and John's exploration of the Niger's course to the Atlantic Ocean. The 3 volumes are in near Fine condition with the boards having only light shelf wear. The printed text is clean, tight and bright with no spotting. The only spotting is on the plates and is very light (see photographs). The folding map is properly folded and with no spotting or tears. There are no markings or signatures, and the bookplate of "Sir Joseph Radcliffe Bart., Rudding Park" is in all three volumes. The set is complete including two appendices (14 pages).
