FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, PRECEDED ONLY BY THE SERIAL PUBLICATION IN NEW SPORTING MAGAZINE. One of the most amusing sporting books, along with the LIFE OF JOHN MYTTON. The success of the original edition of this book gave Mssrs. Chapman and Hall the idea for a similar book of their own, and they drafted a relatively unknown journalist to write it for them. The result was THE PICKWICK PAPERS, by Mr. Charles Dickens. JORROCK'S JAUNTS AND JOLLITIES was originally published between the months of July, 1831 and September, 1834 in "The New Sporting Magazine.
