Dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 112 pages; Laura Beatrice Berton, author of I Married the Klondike and mother of Pierre Berton and her co-author, daughter Lucy Berton Woodward draw on their experience of life in the Yukon and Laura's memories of the Klondike gold rush to create this adventure story written for kids. The story centers on a boy Johnny Marton who's great grandfather had ostensibly found, but never worked a gold mine during the gold rush of 1898. Johnny and a friend have many adventures in their search for the mine. .
