New York: Lyle Stuart, 1959. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good. Hardcover/ DJ (has price $3.95, crossed out w/ old discount price ""89"" inked in above); VG/ Good condition. First Edition, stated 9th printing on DJ; author intro. dated 1959. DJ w/ red & black abstract dessign is Good; bright w/ light rubbing & soil; edge wear (sm. closed tears, chips & fray); 1"" x 1.5"" irreg. piece missing top left front cover (not affecting any printing): 1.5"" clean tear along flap fold bottom front panel. Scattered foxing INside DJ. DJ still displays well in new mylar protective cover. Book is VG. Red cloth binding is tight, bright, square & clean w/ lightest use- trace of rubbing. NO bumps, fray, scuffs or spine discolor. All black spine lettering crisp & intact. V. light foxed areas to free endpapers where DJ flaps made contact (now mitigated w/ mylar DJ cover). Text is tight, bright, clean & UNmarked. NO hinge splits, owner names, etc.; NOT ex library. Nice copy.
