S.C. Hager. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1986. First Edition. Plastic comb binding. Genealogy of John Washington Circle b. 12, 10, 1846 Meigs, Co. Ohio. At the age of 15 John joined the Army to help his family financially as his father George W. was blind. On Feb. 1, 1862 he joined with Co. E, the 9th regiment of the West Va Infantry at Mason City, W. Va as a drummer boy. He suffered a sun stroke ad was taken by ambulance to the hospital at Gauley Bridge, WV. He married Miss Sophia Strohmeyer on Aug 19 1866. They moved to Kansas in 1873. The book traces the history of the families and the names of Circle, Zirkle, Zircle, and other dirivitives of the name and the churches of the area.
